William Lead Pastor
MY ROLE IN CROSSROADS
As Lead Pastor, I am an undershepherd of the Great Shepherd, here to fight for, lead, and build up the people of Crossroads through the word of God, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and alongside the other leaders of the church.
WHERE I'VE BEEN AND WHAT I'VE DONE
I was born in Belfast as a ‘child of the Troubles’. By the time I was in my late teens, I had a police record. Then, after hearing the story of Jesus at a party through two gatecrashing Christians, I committed my life to God. After a radical change of lifestyle through God’s intervention in my life, I joined the British Army and served seven years as a soldier in Northern Ireland, England, Germany and Saudi Arabia. I then became a missionary to British Forces and served in this role for fourteen years. I have served in Pastoral roles in Northern Ireland and in Germany. I have a BTh., an MA in Theology and an MPhil on Postmodernism, Evangelism and the Emerging Church. However, I agree with Martin Luther in that the only one that can make a person a doctor of theology is the Holy Spirit! I married Tulsi in 1997 and we have two daughters, Micah and Esme.
SCRIPTURE THAT IS CENTRAL TO MY LIFE
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, ESV)
“The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighbourhood.” (John 1:14a, The Message)
