Veena Children's Ministry Leader(4-11 Years)
My Role in Crossroads
I have been a part of the Crossroads family from April 2012. I have been involved in AllStarsChildren's Ministry for about 3 years now. At the heart of my being I am a teacher, I love to help children and young adults grow in their faith and understand God in His fullness through His word. My role in Crossroads is to lead and walk alongside people who have the heart to bring the knowledge and love of Christ to children in a creative and fun way. All Stars is a vibrant team of diverse people who come together with the vision of helping children love God with all their heart, mind and soul. I support in making AllStars a welcoming, safe and fun environment for the children alongside the AllStars Leadership team.
Where I have been and what I have done
I was born in a charming small city in southern India called Coimbatore. Was raised in a Christian home and studied in a British established Christian school. I have fond memories of starting a day of school at the chapel and singing. When I lost my father, when I was 13 years old, I found myself drawn to God and at a youth camp at the age of 15, I accepted Christ to be my Father. That has been the best decision of my life! He has been my Father leading me into paths that I would not tread on my own.
What is a banker doing in church? I have had a very adventurous journey with God and have never imagined that I would be a part of a staff team in a church. After finishing my MBA ,I started working for an International bank in India, I had the wrestling feeling that I was not in the right place doing the right thing. I explored teaching graduate students for a semester and I loved interacting with them. After being a stay at home mum and raising my daugther for 4 years, I wanted to get back and work. I started working in the Finance sector again and at the end of 2014 I heard a clear calling from God to work in His Kingdom!
It excites me to see God transform people just the way He has done for me. What a blessing if our children have that opportunity early in life . Very excited for this season of my life and to see God leading the way for Children's Ministry and for Crossroads.
Scriptures that are central to my life
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." (Psalm 91: 2)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13: 8)
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:" Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, "says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 4: 6)
