Where I have been and what I have done
I was born in Canada into a Christian family. My parents were pastors and instilled in me a heart for God and people. I grew up believing that the local church is the hope of the world and feel that even more strongly today. I moved to the Netherlands as a student to connect with my Dutch roots and began attending Crossroads. It was an extremely formative time of growing in my faith. After a year back in Canada, I returned to the Netherlands and never left! I studied public policy and international relations at university. I now work as Head of Marketing and Communications for an international organisation. In 2011, I married my best friend whom I met at Crossroads, Martin.
What I like about Crossroads
At Crossroads you can come just as you are and feel free to participate as little or as much as you would like. Our community is truly international, made up of individuals from all corners of the world. When I look around me on a Sunday morning, it feels like a sneak peek of heaven.
Scripture that is central to me
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39
