MARRIED TO:

Vincent Stok

PLACE OF BIRTH:

Leidschendam, the Netherlands

DATE OF BIRTH:

18 April 1978

WHERE I HAVE BEEN AND WHAT I HAVE DONE:

I was born in Leidschendam and was raised in a Christian family as the middle child. Life to me
is like an adventure and even sometimes like a cartoon: I see myself struggling, falling and
making mistakes... Over and over again until I’ve learned from it. God then picks me up
and teaches me new lessons with His Love. I’m glad He has a good sense of humor.

My job as Children’s Ministry Director combines my passions, former work experience and
education. This proves God has bigger plans than we can imagine: greater things are yet to come!

Creativity: I was a window stylist for H&M (back then my favourite store) after I graduated
from fashion and clothing school.

Working with kids: I went back to school to finish the PABO ((Education to become an elementary
school teacher) and went half a year to Texas, USA for abroad internship and study. There I
worked with kids with learning disabilities and Down syndrome kids.

Organizing and structuring: I worked as Management Assistant at a Centre for Asylum Seekers.
My last job was Executive Secretary at a consultancy firm that helps clients to build public
support for sustainable innovations in food, agriculture, and human health.

MY ROLE IN CROSSROADS:

As the Children’s Ministry Director, I serve and facilitate our wonderful team of
passionate and dedicated children’s workers to lead the children in our community
to Jesus thru fun children’s programs for children ages 0-11.

MY PASSION IN LIFE:

Seeing and discovering the beauty which God created in nature, people and work.

HOBBIES:

Reading, being outdoors (hiking, gardening, biking), refurbishing furniture and styling
(houses and people), selling merchandise for my husband’s band: The New Shining.

FAVORITE FOOD:

Anything my husband cooks, an extra double club sandwich or Mexican food and midnight
snacks: this can be a Mac Kroket but also strawberries.

FAVORITE MOVIES:

Forrest Gump, Friends, The Gladiator, Avatar (3D), Bruce Almighty, Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory and a lot more...

SCRIPTURE THAT IS CENTRAL TO MY LIFE:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not
your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with
a willing spirit.”

Psalm 51:10-12

FAVORITE QUOTES:

“Letting go of the unimportant things in freedom to focus my efforts for Him!"
