Missional Living
Paul told the Philippians that their “citizenship” was in heaven. He didn’t mean that they didn’t belong in this world and were just stuck here temporarily, waiting to go to heaven. Quite the opposite. He meant that they were to live and work and bear witness in the city of Philippi as an outpost or embassy or colony of the heavenly Jerusalem. They brought the values and purposes of the kingdom of heaven to earth, for their neighbors to see and engage with.

Peace is NO Luxury
Due to technical difficulties this sermon is not available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Jesus makes a clear distinction between the peace that He offers and “peace” as the world sees it ((John 14:27). Also consider that the very first time Jesus appears to the disciples after his resurrection He says, “Peace be with you.” Why didn’t He say, “Have faith,” or “Love one another?” What is it about the peace that Jesus offers that is so central to the Good News? More important, how does God call us to live into that peace?
