    Cooking club

I would like to start a cooking club in September/October 2010. The idea is to cook and eat together, and maybe enjoying some nice wines as well. Do you enjoy cooking with the seasons, preferably biologic? This is a great way to meet new people, new dishes, new recipes, new cooking techniques... My idea is to meet every 6-8 weeks on a Friday evening (The Hague).

If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact Nelja Tilma (neljatilma@tiscali.nl).

Summer Small Group on God’s Economy

After two sermons and a LifeLines evening on this topic it is time to get practical with our budget. Crown Financial Ministries has developed a Bible study for small groups on the topic of finances. The purpose of the study is to teach people God’s financial principles so that we get to know Christ more intimately and better prepared to serve Him.

When: on Thursdays from July 22nd – August 26th
Where: Crossroads Ministry Center (Bezuidenhoutseweg 249, 2594AM Den Haag)
    Time: 19:45 – 22:00
Preparation time: approximately 2 hours per week
    Costs: € 22

    Frequently Asked Questions:

Is there anything I need to do before the start of the course?
We recommend reading “Your money counts” by Mark Lloydbottom and if you’ve received the manual and application guide you can already start with week one.

What will happen after this 6 week period?
We encourage people to stay in touch after the course and continue to share their experiences in whichever way or form.

Can I bring someone from outside Crossroads?
Yes, we welcome anyone who is interested; please ensure they’re also enrolled via the sign-up list.

What if I miss an evening?
Just make sure you keep up with the homework given for the following week. We do, however ask for your commitment for the full course and limit your absence to one evening.

On the website I read about a 10-weeks course, why is this one six weeks?
We’ve decided to skip a few topics because our aim is to restrict the course to the summer period. However you can study these topics by yourself or team up with someone else. The topics we will not be doing are: “Getting started”, “Counsel”, “Honesty”, and “Eternity”.

    Summer Celebration Service Schedule
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Summer Celebration Service Schedule. We will be having only one Celebration Service starting at 10:30 from July 11th till August 15th. This is because many crossroaders will be on vacation during the summer and we would like to keep our community as connected as possible.

    Current Series: The Psalm Experience

How do you experience God? In the Old Testament book of Psalms, the psalm writers engage with God, through songs, prayers, cries of anguish and confusion, declarations of hope and praise; and invite us to do the same. Join us as we explore how the psalmists, and we who read their writings, experience God.

    Office Space for Rent

We are still looking for a business that is willing to rent the ground floor. Do you know of a small business or ministry looking for office space? If so, would you refer them to Jack Lomonaco at 070-3222485 or jack@crossroadschurch.nl

It would help both Crossroads and CA incredibly if we could have a new tenant to move in asap. There are six separate offices with a small kitchen available on the ground floor directly across from the beautiful Haagsebos on Bezuidenhoutseweg.
