Prayer Update for Jessica’s father, Paul Cohill

11/02/2010

It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update on Dad mainly because there’s been minimal improvements towards his recovery. Since he was moved to a rehabilitation nursing home in Sept he still remains bedridden with muscle atrophy and weakness. He continues to get infections that inhibit him to eat or gain strength. Due to this long term hospitalization and illness, he’s become noncompliant with staff and very discouraged and withdrawn from all family and friends. This coming week he has a follow up appointment at the hospital which has been rescheduled 3 times since he’s refused to go. I ask that you pray that he will agree to go to the appointment and that the ENT and wound specialists make good judgments for his lung and bedsore care. And also prayer for his heart and willingness to continue to get strong and that his outlook for recovering improves and becomes more positive.

Thanks for your prayers.
Jessica and Scott

Needed: Coordinators Childrens Ministry

08/01/2010 - 28/02/2010

The Children's Ministry is in need of coordinators. The coordinator supports a team of teachers of a specific age and language group within the ministry. It involves meeting with the teachers twice a year to evaluate and making a quarterly rota for the group. The coordinator shares with the CM Director any needs or concerns of the team or group of kids. Generally, the position requires only an hour per week. If you have questions or want to learn more about this serving opportunity, please contact Anne-Nicole Hofman (annenicole@crossroadschurch.nl / mobile: 06-53360330).

Office Space for Rent

11/09/2009 - 23/10/2009

We are still looking for a business that is willing to rent the ground floor. Do you know of a small business or ministry looking for office space? If so, would you refer them to Jack Lomonaco at 070-3222485 or jack@crossroadschurch.nl

It would help both Crossroads and CA incredibly if we could have a new tenant to move in asap. There are six separate offices with a small kitchen available on the ground floor directly across from the beautiful Haagsebos on Bezuidenhoutseweg.

Current Series: Jesus Who?

28/02/2010

The centerpoint of Christianity is Christ. But who is this Jesus anyway? Jesus himself said that knowing him was eternal life. So it is crucial that we get to know him. Exploring the claims that Jesus made about himself can help us answer this vital question.

03/28/2010

For over two thousand years, people have been talking about Jesus of Nazareth. The world's 3 major monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism, & Islam) have definite views on who he was and who he wasn't. The Jewish population of his day also had many theories ranging from him being a demon possessed Samaritan (ouch!) to the Messiah of the Jewish nation who would rescue them from the oppression of the Roman empire. Join us this Sunday as we start a new series addressing the most central question of our Christian faith: "Who was Jesus?"

03/07/2010

Jesus said "I am the Good Shepherd".  This Sunday remind ourselves how much Jesus loves us and cares about each one of us.

02/21/2010

One of the things that is important to us at Crossroads is being “extro-spective”: looking outside of ourselves. God calls us to not only look out for our own interests, but also to care about, meet the needs of, and reach out to those around us. The early church lived that out with a passion. But what does missional living look like in the 21st century?

02/14/2010

Missional living is more than just a philosophy; it’s an active component of the life of a Christian. But what does it look like? How do we live it out in the 21st century? And how has God wired each of us to be able to walk our own missional pathway?
