Local Missions
Crossroads believes that the good news of God’s love is not meant to be kept to ourselves. It is something we want to share with others, starting with our next-door neighbors and extending around the world. In this way we hope to become more and more a “church without walls.” We aim to encourage missional living as a lifestyle by offering diverse opportunities to get involved in what God is doing both locally and around the world. Join us in helping to support, encourage, and pray for our local, global, and short term missions teams as we together step out in faith to share the love of Jesus.Local Missions Partners
At Crossroads we desire to develop a culture where people are seeking and accepting opportunities to extend the love of Christ beyond our walls. We will seek to do this by building healthy partnerships with other like-minded churches and organizations, and as individuals within our sphere of influence. Here are some of the ways you can currently get involved in serving others locally:
Crossroads Leiden
Crossroads Leiden is our Dutch-speaking sister church that was co-founded in 2006 by Remko Dekker – a former staff member of Crossroads The Hague.Crossroads Leiden Website. |
Kids Club De Kroko’s
Kids club De Kroko’s is a Christian social club for children living in the Laakkwartier neighborhood. The club is open to all children (regardless of religion or race) up to age 10. A children’s program is run every Saturday afternoon by volunteers from various churches who also seek to establish a good contact with the parents of the children. Crossroader Willemien Schollaart is the co-founder of De Kroko’s. The Krokos Website. |
International Justice Mission The Netherlands
International Justice Mission (IJM) is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM’s vision is to rescue thousands, protect millions and prove that justice for the poor is possible. Various Crossroaders were instrumental in starting up a Dutch IJM partner office in 2009 in The Hague, the city of “peace and justice.” Crossroads hosted the IJM Nederland office until 2013 and continues to work closely together with IJM. |
