Alpha Course Crossroads Church
Alpha gives everyone the opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course meets once a week for 11 weeks, including a weekend getaway. Sessions begin with a meal, followed by watching a DVD session together and time to discuss what's been taught.
What is Alpha?
During the discussion, everyone is welcome to contribute their opinions and no question is considered hostile or too simple. Topics that will be discussed include—Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? Why and how do I pray? Does God heal today? How about church?

Alpha is for anyone and people attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints. They come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more. Some people want to get beyond religion and find a relationship with God that really changes life. Others come for the close, long-lasting friendships that are built during the Alpha course.
Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. Everyone is welcome.
The course will be in English. However the DVD has Dutch subtitles so will be easy to understand. And if the group size is big enough we will split into a Dutch and English speaking group for the discussion time.
when and how?
Our first upcoming Alpha starts around the end of September 2017. We have no definitive dates yet. You can sign up already, and we will keep you informed!
At Crossroads we try to host an Alpha course twice a year (Fall edition and Spring edition). Alpha meets in the evenings and it will typically last about 2 hours. Check our events section for upcoming courses or sign up for the newsletter.
There is no charge for attending the Alpha course. However we will ask a small contribution to help cover meal and weekend getaway costs.
